Presented by Goodr:
Last night I sat down on my couch to journal around 6:00 and wrote for 45 minutes. A prompt popped into my head as my pen drifted from left to right: What would it look like to be your happiest self? I wrote on that for a while, envisioning what life could be. What would stay the same, what would be different. The worries and anxieties I’d rid myself of, and the things that I’d shift. How it would feel if my biggest concerns were suddenly gone the next day when I woke?
When I put the pen down, I started to wonder: What on this list was doable? Could I actually take legitimate action to be my “happiest self” — or were these things impossible?
I felt — and feel — oddly at peace knowing that a lot of the things are within my control, if only I’m brave enough to go after what I want.
Maybe you try it too?
Let me know how it goes. Keep hurdling,
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK
I’m Listening To: “How to Stress Less, Sleep Better, and Optmize Your Health with Dr. Andrew Huberman”
From Chelsey: “So many good nuggets of information all packed into a 60-minute conversation with Will Ahmed and Dr. Andrew Huberman. They cover a variety of topics from sleep to stress to breathing techniques and Dr. Hubberman is able to speak to the science behind all of the topics while making it digestible for the listener!”
I’m Watching: From Scratch on Netflix
I gobbled up this entire series in about 72 hours. For anyone else who loves Italian culture and has a soft spot for Florence, this drama’s for you — just make sure you have tissues nearby.
I’m Reading: The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
I was gifted this book a while back, and never actually took the time to read it. I’ve seen it on favorites lists for some time, and now I understand why.
Gear I Love: Normatec Go by Hyperice
I’ve been really, really loving these portable compression sleeves. I own both the full-size Normatec Boots and the Go sleeves (which only go over the calf, versus the entire leg) — and I find that I’m using the Go all of the time simply because of how easy they are to slap on. Different from their big brother, these can be worn while I’m doing things around the apartment. Plus, they’re a few hundred $$ cheaper.
Quote I Love: “You are good enough to make whatever you want to achieve possible. You just need to find your talent and passion, then put a heck a lot of work into it.” ― Ashley Graham

🎧 NEW PODCAST EPISODE: 226. Rad Lopez, Peloton Instructor
From a young age, Rad Lopez was taught that with hard work and dedication — anything is possible. For episode 226, he's talking through what that’s looked like in practice — from his early years growing up in the Bronx through these days sweating regularly on-camera as a Peloton favorite. Rad gets vulnerable, opening up about losing both his father and his stepfather, and what it felt like coming of age with a single mom that was constantly working to put food on the table.
He also chats about working maitenance at a gym — where he was first inspired to get his personal training certification — and shares how he first got into one of his favorite activities, boxing. Plus: Feedback from his first job teaching group fitness, how he feels about teaching classes in Spanish, the special moment from his Cuba trip earlier this year, and what he really sees when he looks in the mirror.
🎧 NEW PODCAST EPISODE: #HURDLEMOMENT: Robin Arzon On How to Navigate Race Day
Whether it’s your first or your hundredth, marathon race day gives runners the same nervous butterflies every single time. I'm bringing back a conversation I had in 2019 with Robin Arzon, 26-time marathoner author of the New York Times bestseller Shut Up and Run. We rap about everything you need to do to prepare before and ON race day, from the best things you can do the day before you toe the starting line to exactly how much fuel you should be taking in along the 26.2 miles. This RRCA-certified running coach and marathon veteran has the tips you need to successfully conquer 26.2 miles, then bring that same swagger along with you in everyday life.
