I also went back to setting an alarm at the start of this school year. I’d become way too chill (even as a natural early riser) with my wake up time. Great decision!
I've loved my morning routine the last few months. Alarm goes off at 5:15am (working at making that a non negotiable for weekends too), I take my AM supplements I brush my teeth and wash my face, then go turn on the kettle and put away dishes from the night before (another new routine this year was no dishes left to wash before bed). After I make my not coffee *everyday dose helped me cut back drastically on my caffeine intake and boost morning productivity and cut massively down on my anxiety this year* I work on prepping a healthy breakfast. After I eat i take care of my cats things (food, clean litter box) and wash my breakfast dishes. Those are my non-negotiables for my morning. If I have time before my 6:45 commute start, I'll usually journal or pick another small thing to tidy, or, if it's Friday, read the weekly Hurdle 😊. Long story short, my morning routine is what I want to continue and build on in the new year. What I want to start this year is building a better night time routine, I have a much harder time being consistent with that. And I'd like to stop taking so much in life so seriously. I'm burning out, and with starting my thesis based masters this year I want to work hard but approach things with more ease and find the joy in my career, school, and personal life again. Thanks for the great prompt! I always worry my responses to these are so long, but I usually transfer in some way to my journal 😅
We will need date updates ofc
